With the temperatures continuously dropping, adding layers to my outfits have been key. Scarves, long sleeve tees, and open cardigans are especially effective.

I shot these pics downtown after finding a vintage sequin tank (which will be worn as much as possible) at one of my favorite designer consignment shops. What would the world be without consignment shops, I asked myself this morning. The answer: Expensive.

Love, Love, Love

Fall 1

Fall 2

Fall 3

Fall 4

My favorite looks for this time of year are scarves (they’re warm AND fashionable- it’s a win-win!), knee-high boots, mixing neutrals, and (faux) fur. Layering your outfits is extremely important when the temps are low in the morning and high in the afternoon. Living in the midwest, I think I’ve mastered the layering skills pretty well. Fall brings the excitement of the holidays and the hope of a new year (or at least for me it does), and that’s one of the reasons I love it so much. It’s the last time to accomplish everything on your “2013 Bucketlist,” and it’s the time to try new things.

This weekend was productive and relaxing at the same time. I am now regretting the run I sporadically decided to go on yesterday morning, and so is my back. Today was a true fall day- the temperatures were pretty low, rain fell from the sky, and the leaves were starting to change color. I am loving this! Fall is my favorite, and fall has finally begun!

Comfy & Cozy

Finally, fall is here. My second favorite season couldn’t have come soon enough. The past few weeks have been all about getting adjusted to high school, trying to add some spunk to the uniform (jewelry, jewelry, shoes, jewelry), and starting to cheer for those freshman football players (typical high school girly-girl, huh?). My goal is to get back to this little outlet as much as possible, hoping the teachers don’t pile on the tons of work they usually do. Thanks for sticking around, here’s to a new beginning.

That’s the Spirit!

While I am enjoying the last few days of true summer with fire pits + s’mores and hanging with family and friends, I am getting way excited for fall. I would have to say that fall is probably my favorite season (but I also adore winter because of the snow and the holly jolly holiday atmosphere). I am looking forward to Halloween, carving pumpkins, an apple orchard visit (or two), adding more layers to my outfits, and just enjoying the weather! The fact that it is freezing in the morning and warm in the afternoon is charming, and I can’t wait for autumn to begin once and for all! Below are pictures that keep me counting down the days until fall is finally here.
