Pure Bliss

To anyone that has still taken time out of their day to check this website— hello! It’s been a while, and I apologize for that.

A big part of the reason I’m writing to you right now is to explain why it’s been so long since I’ve checked in. And that reason is Pure Bliss.

Pure Bliss is my new blog. It’s become my creative outlet for all things in life, not just fashion. As much as I love A Rose and Her Clothes, I love Pure Bliss just a little bit more, and I think you will too. I remember sitting down to write the posts for this blog, thinking to myself that I could only write about fashion or only talk about things that were considered “high end” in the fashion world. I didn’t know it at the time, but I created a mold for myself that I felt so compelled to fill in a cookie-cutter kind of way. That’s why I look back at nearly every single post on this website and cringe. I do. Every time. That’s not to say that I didn’t learn a lot, because this was the building block I needed to move on to something that fit my creative pallet more than A Rose and Her Clothes ever did. This was the place I found my way.

Pure Bliss was the perfect blank canvas I needed to start doing and sharing the things that I love. It’s my jumbled assortment of happiness, and I hope you’ll check it out here:

Thank you to every single one of you that tuned into A Rose and Her Clothes; I will never forget the life lessons I learned from this site.

xoxo Anna Rose, aka A Rose and Her Clothes

There’s no better way to celebrate 2013 and ring in the new year than to go shopping! I have always loved to shop, and the Fashion Square Mall in Arizona is one of the best places to shop in the country. They have every store you could possibly imagine (including Michael Kors & Anthropology, two of my all-time faves), so it’s never to hard to find something you like. I spent a decent amount of time in Anthro today, and can we just take a moment and appreciate the decor of the store? I love, love, love the atmosphere in there–it makes everything so appealing. I found a dress for my birthday, and I also found a dress with cheetas/lions/tigers on it, and cmon– that’s just plain awesome. Have a happy New Year!

Tonight marks the end of the cheer season with our “end of season banquet.” I was very, very excited to have an excuse to dress up, but I’m sad that the season is over. I loved cheering, and I loved all the girls, so it will be tough hanging up the uniform for the last time. Cheering was definitely a highlight of my year so far, and I’m really glad I did it.

*Tonight marks the first time that I have worn heels (in public), so hopefully I don’t face-plant too many times.

Old November traditions: Thanksgiving, family time, school break, and lots of pumpkin-flavored goodies.

New November traditions: Snow (I hope not), Christmas music*, and Christmas lights**.

*I understand that the holiday season is coming up, and I am very excited for that, but c’mon. It’s November 3rd. Let’s not push it.

**Again, I understand that many people are excited for Christmas. But isn’t it just a little early to be flipping the switch and lighting up your neighborhood?

November is here!! I honestly can not believe it! Before we know it, it will be 2014 (a scary but true thought). This is the time to enjoy your downtime and finish interior decor projects before the rush of the holiday season. Happy November!

With the temperatures continuously dropping, adding layers to my outfits have been key. Scarves, long sleeve tees, and open cardigans are especially effective.

I shot these pics downtown after finding a vintage sequin tank (which will be worn as much as possible) at one of my favorite designer consignment shops. What would the world be without consignment shops, I asked myself this morning. The answer: Expensive.
