Keeping it Simple

{Lucky dress, Abercrombie & Fitch cardigan, Fossil watch, vintage necklace, Fry boots, Spanx leggings, Heritage sunnies}

I was not in a mood to put on a dramatic or inventive outfit, so I stuck to the basics that I know will work every time I put them on. My navy and cream striped dress is always a go-to piece, so I threw it on and accessorized in a new way. I try to plan my outfits the night before I wear them, but time did not allow, so I threw together this outfit in the A.M. This sweater added texture, color, and warmth to my otherwise basic garments.

Light and Dark

{Von Maur dress, Victorias Secret Pink leggings, Michael Kors boots, Black House White Market, Vintage spoon ring, Michael Kors watch}

I love mixing up my outfits in the winter, and this sweater, featured in “Looking Ahead”, is perfect for doing just that. In the past, I have only worn this dress with a cream sweater, but I love the contrast of these colors. Wearing black in the winter is also another great way to contrast against the white snow {what is left of it}. I also love this vintage spoon ring-who knew that you could turn eating utensils into great accessories?

Magazine Maniac

These magazines are some of my all-time favorites, and I love looking through them. The magazine on the bottom, TeenProm, is so fun to flip through. Even though most of the dresses are trendy, cheesy, or crazy, there a few that are note worthy. I would never buy a dress from a magazine {it might not fit, be the color you thought it was, etc}, and I am still puzzling over why I bought this one. Below are some of the dresses that are so-so or that my eye enjoyed. Note: The dress made of all feathers is so fun- but not wearable!!
